Due to recent manipulations with the MyBible modules registry (adding of another hosting server and the follow-up re-generation of the registry), a MyBible defect that wasn’t noticed until recently can cause a mistaken mesage that the MyBible modules registry does not function, and a subsequent inability to download modules.

The problem in the MyBible code has already been fixed for the upcoming release of MyBible 5.8.0.

In order to overcome this problem with the current version of MyBible:

  1. Connect your device via a USB cable to a PC or Mac. If the device will ask for the files tranfser mode confirmation – give that confirmation.
  2. Using the Windows Explorer on your PC, or using the Android File Transfer app on your Mac, navigate in the device’s file system to the directory /Android/data/ua.mybible/files/MyBible.
  3. Find and delete the file persisted_registry.json
