Installing

A recommended way of installing MyBible is from Google Play. The last released MyBible version is available there. If you deliberately want to use one of the previous MyBible versions, you can turn off auto-update of the MyBible app on your device in the Google Play application menu.

If installing of MyBible from Google Play is not available or fails for any reason, you could download a MyBible installation from this page.

Plain installations downloadable from this page are identical to those that have been sent to Google Play for publishing.

An X installation is a MyBible assembly that is functionally identical to a plain installation of the same version but declares compatibility with Android 10 instead of a newer Android version (which is required to place an app to Google Play). As the result, an X installation has access to the root of the device’s built-in memory, like older versions of MyBible were able to, so it allows to move MyBible data from the app private directory to the root of the device’s memory, /MyBible. An X installation cannot be placed to Google Play, so it is available only here, at mybible.zone. The “X” in the version number stands for the Roman digit 10, meaning “Android 10 compatible”. Having placed an X installation on top of a plain installation, make sure in Android settings that MyBible is given access to the device’s memory.

You can share installations with pre-installed modules via Bluetooth or WiFi Direct. One can use MyBible installed from such an installation right away, without a need to download modules and thus without a need in Internet connection.
